INFORMATION ON HOW TO DOWNLOAD AND GET READY FOR TELEHEALTH

Everyday seems to bring new information, you may have received a letter from KC Pain Centers this week, but even after that letter went out things changed.

Thank you for sticking with us during these difficult times. We want to keep our patients as safe as possible, as well as making telehealth visits as easy as possible.

TELEHEALTH VISITS JUST BECAME EASIER

You need two things for Telehealth Visits now:

  1. Provide KC Pain Centers with a good email address.
  2. Provide KC Pain Centers with a cell phone number connected to a smart phone/tablet with a front facing camera. (if you can take a selfie with it, you have the right kind of phone.)
  3. Make a Telehealth appointment with our staff.
  4. 30 minutes before your appointment you will get a text with a blue link for your appointment. (see example)
  5. At the time of your appointment click on the link. It will automatically open into the application, answer any questions, put in any vitals you have (like height and weight) submit vitals.
  6. Click Start the Televisit, and wait for your provider to join.

INSTALLING THE HEALOW APPLICATION

The following steps explain how to install the Healow application on an iOS or Android smartphone.

  1. Open App Store from your iPhone or Google Play from your Android phone.
  2. Type Healow app in the search box. Make sure you click the one developed by eClinicalWorks, LLC.
  3. Tap Get in the App Store or Install in Google Play. This installs the application to your phone.
  4. Tap OPEN – OR – Tap the Healow application from the launcher.

INITIALIZING A TELEVISIT VIA HEALOW

The following steps describe how to initialize a TeleVisit from an iOS or Android smartphone.

  1. Open the Healow app, and tap GET STARTED.
  2. Accept the following in-phone notifications: Location, Camera, and Microphone.
  3. Enter the Practice Code: JDCJBD
  4. Enter the login credentials provided by the practice and tap Login.
  5. Accept the Term and Conditions for the Healow application.
  6. Verify the account by entering your Date of Birth.
  7. Create and confirm a 4-digit pin of your choice. (Remember your 4-digit PIN; you will need it the next time you log into the application.)
  8. On the wheel screen, tap APPOINTMENTS.
  9. Scroll to the bottom of the screen and tap Start TeleVisit.
  10. Enter your vital signs and tap Submit Vitals. (You are checked in. Wait for your provider to connect.)
  11. Tap the red phone icon at the bottom of the screen to end the visit.

If you don’t have a smartphone or tablet that can download our patient portal Healow app, but have a computer or laptop with camera follow the instructions below.

  1. Log in to Healow with Eclinicalworks patient portal credentials. Https://health.healow.com/kcpaincenters 

Username: is your complete email address 

PW: if staff has not given you a temporary password, you can click forgot password, and directions on how to change it will be emailed to you. 

Once logged in, the Healow window opens displaying upcoming appointments. 

1.Click join Televisit 

There maybe intake questionnaires linked to the visit. 

Enter the responses and then click submit questionnaire. 

A system compatibility check is preformed to detect the software and hardware required to conduct Healow Televisits. 

2.On the top left corner the compatibility test window, click allow in the Pop-up message to use the Patient –Facing camera. 

3. Click allow in the Pop-up message to use the patient facing microphone. 

4. Once the compatibility check is complete, click proceed. 

 A confirmation message displays, indicating you are ready. 

5.  The link to the Healow Televisit waiting room displays.  The Televisit button displays in Orange 30 minutes before the scheduled appointment time.  

6.Click the Televisit button, you will see waiting for the provider to join. 

Once the provider joins a message displays asking you to allow camera and microphone. Click yes to allow for camera and microphone use.  

7. The Televisit window displays and video call begins.
